We are waiting to confirm the date of our field trip to Chronicles of Crime bookstore. The owner is also a literature professor from UVic and she is compiling books that she thinks the class might be interested in reading. You will have $10 to spend on books (it must be spent on books . I will let you know the day of the field trip as soon as I hear back from the bookstore owner.

The field trip has been scheduled for Thurs, Dec 9th in the morning. Glenn has offered to drive the bus there. This should be a great time, so I expect all of you to attend. ;D

Hi Shannon I'm now registered, and can see the info you post! I'm wondering though where the Chronicles of Crime Bookstore is? What time would you like me to be there? Yvonne Rolston

The bookstore is right on Fort. I'll check the exact address and get back to you. I would be there by 10AM if you can. I'm really looking forward to it.

Hi again Shannon I've checked my telephone directory and cannot find Chronicles of Crime bookstore! Is it a new one? Am I blind?? I would be happy to be there at ten, I'll check this WeB site for the address before I leave. Also, on another note I have a page of materials on books related to our discussion last week, but they are all WEB sites not catalogues It makes it harder to look through and select. However I'm willing to do that, but I need more specific info on the reading levels of the various students and perhaps their interests (although the latter I can probably fairly accurately guess at). The Victoria School District has a wonderful resource library and teacher for First Nations called Nella Nelson. Have you met her or been to their library? She would also be a great resource. I'm reluctant to go ahead and make further arrangements to do any of the above without your blessing and without knowing the budget. See you soon Yvonne ;D

We plan to arrive at the Chronicles of Crime bookstore by 10AM. It is at 1057 Fort St in the building with a large mosaic on the outside of it. There is metered parking along the road. The owner's name is Francis. See everyone tomorrow.
